Review - Benefit The POREfessional

Review - The POREfessional - Benefit Cosmetics - £24.50

Earlier this week I was lucky enough to find an amazing bargain in Benefit (and I mean A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!) I know that this is avaliable online in Debenhams, Benefits Online Shop etc, but after every time I went to Debenhams it had been sold out I managed to sneak myself a purchase in Boots. The gift set itself is £29.50 and from what I remember (me being stupid decided to tear off the sticker on the packaging which itself is just gorgeous and perfect for storing!) the cost of buying each of the things separately would be around £54 a massive £24 saving. Benefit do many gift sets like this but I have to say this is probally the best value for money one I have seen (along with a few christmas specials they had!)

Anyway onto the actual subject, After buying The POREfessional again after adoring the mini sample sizes you get given in their beauty boxes (or whatever you want to call them) I thought I'd review it.
It's also extremely concentrate meaning only small amounts are needed, especially for your T - Zone which for me is a lifesaver due to it constantly being dribbling with oil. It lasts nearly all day thought at around mid  day my skin does seem to get a bit more oily, so for me around 7 hours wear for me, though considering my skin could fry chips that'd not bad going!
The primer itself has a slightly beige tint which quickly turns transparent when blended into skin, meaning it's perfect for all skin types and leaves the skin with a lovely silky matte finish, as well as making your skin feel amazingly soft. The product itself is great at covering imperfections (and obviously pores) as well as blurring the skin to give you a near flawless base for your foundation.

The POREfessional retails at £24.50, again not very cheap but if this lasts, which I hope it will, it will definately be worth the pricey spend.

Weekly Catchup #2 - Random Shamblings

After frantically searching up the word "shamblings" to figure if it was even a real word or not (my guess is it's my wrong attempt at a spelling) but I thought it described this post p e r f e c t l y.
I also thought i'd make this a Weekly Catchup, god knows where the last two weeks went so this is more of a "3 Week Catchup" ...a very big catch up indeed.
First of all a big shoutout to Costa Coffee for making the incredible "Costa Ice Lemonade" or whatever it may be called. If you haven't tried this yet, then.... do. I much prefer it to Starbucks "Lime Refresha" drink which even after several tries I didn't quite get the obsession so many people had with it, but when I was reccomended another iced lemonade drink I thought I'd try it and give them another chance, and my oh my I'm glad I did.
Due to me also living in the South of England (whether this is a good thing or not depends on your opinions obviously) but luckily most of the time we are blessed with sun which having many beaches in the south benefits us greatly and so with the temperature at around 18c (yes it might be low but if you're English this is basically the equivalent to a heatwave in the spring) however I was a bit confused as to why so many girls thought it was shorts whether but nevertheless it was a perfect opportunity for many outings.
In terms of favourites I am currently obsessed with the Victorias' Secret Bodyspray in Vanilla Lace, which I bought recently on my outing to London and if you know me you'll know that I absolutely love vanilla and coconut scented sprays and so I had to buy this spray (after finding out my beloved coconut spray from Victorias' Secret was no longer avaliable! If you know whether it's been discontuned or just out of stock please let me know in the comments!) I've also been loving Primarks "Home" Range lately due to the increase in number of Throws and cute led lights and candles (yes that really is what teenage girls like me spend their money on!) My purchases can be found on my instagram @emilytjoness (another good excuse for you to follow my instagram!) I'm hopefully going to be uploading a new Youtube Video but with my internet connection and laptop I can never be 100% sure of anything! I'm also hoping to be doing a few review posts as well as some Hauls and makeup tutorials/ideas etc. Leave some tips and comments below :)

Weekly Catchup #1

Hey Guys! Sorry I haven't been posting for ages I've been caught up so much lately and have been so busy in these few past weeks but hopefully will start making more blog posts (and videos when it lets me upload them!) I've decided I'm going to do a series called "Weekly Catchup" where I will tell you several of my favourite things of that week (not just beauty related items of course!)

Favourite Song - Money on my Mind - Sam Smith
Oh My God. I am obsessed with Sam Smith at the moment! His debut single Money on my Mind is definately one of my favourite songs so far of 2014, after seeing him Live last year at the Summertime Ball (June) I've been hooked ever since.

Favourite Film - The Town
I've seen this film advertised before and noticed that one of my favourite actresses Blake Lively (aka Serena Van Der Woodsen from Gossip Girl of course!) starring as a single mum and drug addict causing trouble, I knew I had to watch this and I definately don't regret it. Great story line and great acting throughout.

Favourite App - The Hunt
After being reccomended to download this app from a close friend a few months ago I have not stopped using it since. Seen a dress you like and not known where it's from? or maybe need a new Television show to watch? Then The Hunt is perfect for you. It enables you to search, and help others search for clothes, makeup or whatever it is that you're looking for, and the best bit? Its free!

Favourite Cleanser - Peaches and Clean - Soap and Glory
Being the idiot I am I have only just realised this is a cleanser not a moisturiser like I thought (that's what happens when you don't read the labels!) I've only just discovered it for it's correct use and I absolutely love it! Works so much better as a cleanser than a moisturiser ha..

Hope you enjoyed this weeks post, will look forward to making another one (soon hopefully!)
